Rudra Equipment supplies electric chain hoists rated from 1 tonne to 5 tonnes, with or without a travelling trolley, together with a Gear Trolley and an M-Type Push-Pull Trolley.

A chain hoist lifts the load. A trolley carries the hoist along an I-beam, so the load can be moved as well as lifted. A push-pull trolley is moved by hand; a gear trolley is driven by a hand chain and handles heavier loads.

Chain Pulley Block and Chain Hoist — Frequently Asked Questions

Chain pulley blocks are made from 1 ton to 10 ton, in 3 metre and 6 metre standard lifts. Blocks up to 2 ton are single fall; 3 ton and above are double fall.

Yes. Design type testing is carried out to IS: 3832-2005, at four times the rated load held for five minutes. Endurance type testing to the same standard runs the block for 100 hours at a hand chain speed of 20 metres per minute.

The load chain is G80 standard. Diameter is 6 mm on the 1 ton 3-metre block, 8 mm on larger single-fall and 3 ton blocks, and 10 mm on 5 ton and 10 ton blocks.

A manual block is operated by pulling a hand chain and needs no power supply. A motorised block, such as our Electric Chain Hoist, lifts under power and suits repeated cycles or heavier loads.

Yes. The M Type Push Pull Trolley is rated at 1 ton, and a Gear Trolley Heavy Duty is available where the block must be moved along a beam under load.
